Rolling On
Lyrics
Verse 1
Some things just happen, I can't explain
Sometimes they happen again and again
It's all the things we're never shown
All of life's lessons coming home
You fall in love then it falls apart
Important I don't let it break my heart.

Chorus 1
I'll just keep running scared
Never looking back, like I never cared
I'll just pretend I'm strong
No regrets at all, I'll just keep rolling on

Verse 2
Some people give love, some people don't
Sometimes it all works out, sometimes it won't
All the time we've got to learn
Not to get your fingers burnt
There's lots of things, you cannot call
Important you don't let them, hurt at all

Chorus 2
I'll just keep running scared
Never looking back, like I never cared
I'll just pretend I'm strong
No regrets at all, I'll just keep rolling on

Bridge
Soon I will get to a place
Where someone is ready to care
A person who's willing to give me her love
But 'til I get there

Chorus
I'll just keep running scared
Never looking back, like I never cared
I'll just pretend I'm strong
No regrets at all, I'll just keep rolling on

I'll just keep running scared
Never looking back, like I never cared
I'll just pretend I'm strong
No regrets at all, I'll just keep rolling on
Short Song Description:
Someone who has had difficulty finding romance but remains optimistic that it will happen eventually.
Long Song Description:
Someone who has had difficulty finding romance and has been let down in the past. Pretends not to care and rolls on optimistic that it will happen eventually.
Story Behind the Song:
Started with a melody I've had in my head for some time but struggled with a subject. When it happened the idea and the lyrics came quite quickly. Unintentionally there is a Don Williams feel about the song and I feel it's better than many I've written/performed.
